Happy New Year & Greetings from Central PA’s newest winery, Hummingbird Ridge Winery. We want to send a huge Thank You out to all of you who came out to our Open House in December. In our first month open, we saw a lot of old friends and made some great new friends.

Upcoming events include:

***January 15th & 16th - We will be at Silver Lake Inn in Lewisberry from 7pm to 9pm both days with free tastings of Hummingbird Ridge wines, as Silver Lake Inn becomes the first restaurant to carry our` wines.

***January 19th - Silver Lake Inn continues their week-long celebration of being the first restaurant to stock Hummingbird Ridge wines with a Special Wine and Dine Dinner, featuring Hummingbird Ridge Winery wines. This is a Special 5-course meal with each course specially paired with Hummingbird Ridge wine. Seating is Limited. Call Silver Lake Inn at 717-938-4894 for information and reservations.

***January will also be our month-long Winter WINEderland Celebration every Saturday and Sunday in January, as we celebrate new wine releases and have some special treats for those who stop in for a wine tasting.

***February will be Wine and Chocolate month, celebrating the month of Valentines with wine and chocolate pairings.

January is our Winter WINEderland Celebration at Hummingbird Ridge Winery

Beginning this coming weekend, Jan. 2nd & 3rd, and continuing every weekend in January, Hummingbird Ridge Winery celebrates winter in Central PA with our Winter WINEderland Celebration with special treats and special tastings of our new wines. Brave the cold, come out and let Hummingbird Ridge Winery warm "the cockles of your heart" with our delicious wines. Hummingbird Ridge Winery is open every Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 6pm.

Did you know? 

What are the "cockles of your heart" and why do they need warming? One of the meanings of "cockle" is the chamber of a kiln: in reference to the heart, it refers to the chambers, of which there are four (two atria and two ventricles). The heart has always been associated with emotions, especially love, excitement and fear, probably because when we feel a strong emotion we feel our heart thumping and beating faster. So when something "warms the cockles of our heart", it is a reference to something pleasant that makes our heart beat faster and makes us feel good. 

Last Weekend for Hummingbird Ridge Winery Holiday Open House

Hope everyone is having a Great Holiday season!!!  Just a quick reminder that tomorrow, Saturday, December 26th and this Sunday, December 27th are the final days for Hummingbird Ridge Winery's Holiday Open House from 11am to 6pm both days. We have a great selection of wines to choose from for your New Years Eve celebrations. Stop in and taste the new wines from Central PA's newest winery.

Thank You so much to all of you who have come out to our Hummingbird Ridge Winery Holiday Open House to celebrate our Opening!!! We have seen a lot of old friends and made some new ones already. The Holiday Open House continues today, Sat., Dec.19th (although the predicted 10 inches of snow may keep turnout low. But we are at the winery today if you are in the area and can make it through the snow and would like to taste or purchase some wine) and tomorrow, Sun., Dec. 20th and also next Saturday & Sunday, Dec. 26 & 27, each day from 11am to 6pm.
