2013 was another record-breaking
year for us, with over 10,000 visitors to Hummingbird Ridge Winery! Not bad for
a tiny winery in the back woods of York County. Highlights of the year included
our many events, especially our Music Tribute series, with music tributes to
The Beatles, Jimmy Buffett, Rolling Stones, James Taylor, America, Bob Seger,
Johnny Cash, and Tom Petty.
And we intend to expand the Music
Tribute series in 2014 with a Tribute Band every 2nd Saturday of each month
from April through October, see our 2014 Event Schedule below for details.
Also, we will be partnering with our neighbor, The Newberrytown Peddlers and
Farmers Market, to perform the Tribute shows on their festival grounds, so that
we have more parking and more room for everyone. In addition, we will be having
live music at the Winery every 4th Saturday of each month, as well as
continuing live music every 1st Friday of each month at the Winery.
On the wine front, 2013 saw the
creation of our Dessert Wine line including Cherry Chocolate, Raspberry,
Blueberry, Strawberry and Pumpkin and the creation of our premium honey
port brandy liqueur Valkyrie Goldbaender, which is being hailed by some in the
industry as the creation of a completely new category of alcohol beverage. We
are currently up to 17 wines available for tasting and purchase at our 2
locations: 735 Kise Mill Rd, York Haven PA and Newberry Commons Mall, Etters
PA. We hope to continue to grow and innovate in 2014 and we look
forward to providing you with the most flavorful, balanced and yummy
(technical term) wines for you to enjoy with all of your everyday
celebrations!

done every year, January is Winter Winederland Month at the Winery, with
Free Port wine tastings and special prices on our Port wines. Stop in and warm

Event" with live Acoustic Blues & Rock by "Will Work for
Wine". This event will be an Inside
event at our Mall store at the Newberry Commons Mall (right beside the
State Liquor Store), just off the Yocumtown exit of I-83, midway between
Harrisburg and York. FREE Admission
for this event. Free Parking. Free Tastings.
Saturday, January 18th: The EAGLES Music tribute by the
band "Tequila Sunrise" from 5pm to 8pm. This event will be an Inside event at our Mall store at the Newberry Commons
Mall (right beside the State Liquor Store), just off the Yocumtown exit
of I-83, midway between Harrisburg and York. FREE
Admission for this event. Free Parking. Free
Tastings.

Store at 735 Kise Mill Rd, York Haven and open Tues. to Sat. from 1pm to 8pm at
our new Newberry Commons Mall store, and our standard wine tastings are free of

Hummingbird Ridge Winery is “the Small Winery with Big Flavor”. Owner Tom Day began his
wine odyssey as a teenager, watching his Italian grandfather make wine. When
Tom started winning amateur awards for his own wines, he decided to open his
own winery. With over 20 years of experience, he opened this microwinery
dedicated to making wine in small batches, so that every aspect of the
winemaking process could be meticulously taken care of, to craft wines with
superior flavor and balance. Tom named the winery after one particular
hummingbird that followed him as he first walked the property and that
hummingbird’s likeness graces every bottle of Hummingbird Ridge wine. We hope
