In between freezing our grapes off
in January, we had a lot of fun, with our biggest crowd ever at our Mall store
for The EAGLES Music Tribute by "Tequila Sunrise" last
month. Hopefully the coldest weather is behind us now, no more 0 degree temperatures
and negative wind chills! But you can always stop in and warm up at our 2
locations with Free Standard Tastings at both locations. And read more about
our Neil Diamond Music Tribute coming soon at our Newberry Commons
Mall location.
- Our newest creation, Valkyrie Goldbaender (Riesling Honey White
Port, oaked version), garnered praise and an award from the Beverage Testing
Institute (BTI), a well-known wine, beer and spirits rating service. BTI's
tasting notes: "Aromas of fig, raisin, honeycomb, and pepper with
a soft, fruity light-to-medium body and green pear skin and Meyer lemon finish
with clinging fruit tannins, Recommended". Stop in and try the Oaked and Unoaked versions!

Saturday, February 8th: NEIL DIAMOND Music tribute by "Acoustic Diamond"
from 5pm to 8pm. This event will be an Inside event at our Mall store at the
Newberry Commons Mall (right beside the State Liquor Store), just off the
Yocumtown exit of I-83, midway between Harrisburg and York. FREE Admission for this event. Free Parking. Free Tastings.
Feb. 8/9 and 15/16: Hershey
Harrisburg Wine Trail ValenWines Event with Chocolate and Wine Pairings from

Wolf PA presents a Valentine's Wine Dinner featuring wine pairings from
Hummingbird Ridge Winery on Saturday, February 15th.

- Recipe of the Month: This month'
recipe is our newest drink creation called Strawberry Sparkle. We are defying
winter and channeling Spring with this refreshing sparkler. It's very simple
and fun and we are featuring it this month. This drink uses our
Strawberry Bliss wine. In a pitcher, pour in 1 bottle (375ml)
of Hummingbird Ridge Strawberry Bliss wine and add one 10 ounce can
of Cranberry Juice and one 12 ounce can of lemon-lime soda like
Sprite or 7up. Pour over ice and Enjoy and think about Spring!

We are open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 11am to 6pm at our Winery
Store at 735 Kise Mill Rd, York Haven and open Tues. to Sat. from 1pm to 8pm at
our new Newberry Commons Mall store, and our standard wine tastings are free of
charge at both locations.

Hummingbird Ridge Winery is “the Small Winery with Big Flavor”. Owner Tom Day began his
wine odyssey as a teenager, watching his Italian grandfather make wine. When
Tom started winning amateur awards for his own wines, he decided to open his
own winery. With over 20 years of experience, he opened this microwinery dedicated
to making wine in small batches, so that every aspect of the winemaking process
could be meticulously taken care of, to craft wines with superior flavor and
balance. Tom named the winery after one particular hummingbird that followed
him as he first walked the property and that hummingbird’s likeness graces
every bottle of Hummingbird Ridge wine. We hope you enjoy your experience at
