- July was a busy month at Hummingbird
Ridge with The BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN Tribute and AMERICA/JAMES TAYLOR music
tribute. Every month from April through October, Hummingbird Ridge Winery is
sponsoring their 2014 Music Tribute Series up at their neighbors, The Newberrytown
Peddlers Market (next to Susquehanna Speedway). Upcoming Tributes include
The Eagles (see below), Tom Petty and Johnny Cash. FREE Admission for all
Tribute Concerts.
- We have 3 new wines now available
for tasting and purchase: Hummingbird Red, our dry red wine, is back with bold
fruit and a spicy finish. Shimmer returns, this time with a beautiful blush
color and flavors of honeyed cherry. Celebration Blush is also back and is the
perfect wine for any celebration! Stop in for Free Tastings of these new wines.
*** We have expanded our hours at our Winery
location at 735 Kise Mill Rd, Newberrytown (1/4 mile from Susquehanna
Speedway). The new hours are Tuesday thru Friday Noon to 7pm; Friday 11am to

Celebrations, presents their 2014 Music Tribute Series at Newberrytown Peddlers
& Farmers Market at 700 York Rd, Dover PA (just 1/4 mile up the road from
the Winery), featuring "The EAGLES Music
Tribute" by Tequila Sunrise
this Saturday, August 9th from 1pm to 4pm at Newberrytown Peddlers &
Farmers Market, just off the Newberrytown exit 32 of I-83, midway between
Harrisburg and York.
FREE Admission. Free Wine
Tastings. Free Parking. Food Available from the Market vendors. Come on out,
Sip wine, and Enjoy the music of The EAGLES. Also, The River 97.3FM will
be there giving away Jimmy Buffett/Alan Jackson concert tickets from 11:30 to
1:30.
This is an outside event, but in the
event of inclement weather, it will be moved inside the market building. Bring
your lawn chairs. Hummingbird Ridge wines are available for tasting and
purchase by the glass or bottle, but NO other alcohol is permitted on the
grounds, per PLCB law. Must be 21 years of age or older to taste or purchase
wines.

- Recipe of The
Month: This months recipe is STRAWBERRY SPARKLE, a refreshing
summer drink made from our Strawberry Bliss wine. It's quick and easy to make
for a summer party or picnic.
Pour 1 bottle of Hummingbird Ridge
"Strawberry Bliss" wine into a pitcher. Add one 10oz. can of
Cranberry juice and add one 12oz. can of lemon-lime soda (Sprite, 7Up, etc.).
Enjoy!

1pm to 8pm at our new Newberry Commons Mall store, and our standard wine
tastings are free of charge at both locations.

Hummingbird Ridge Winery is "the Small Winery with Big Flavor". Owner Tom
Day began his wine odyssey as a teenager, watching his Italian grandfather make
wine. When Tom started winning amateur awards for his own wines, he decided to
open his own winery. With over 20 years of experience, he opened this
microwinery dedicated to making wine in small batches, so that every aspect of
the winemaking process could be meticulously taken care of, to craft wines with
superior flavor and balance. Tom named the winery after one particular
hummingbird that followed him as he first walked the property and that
hummingbird's likeness graces every bottle of Hummingbird Ridge wine. We hope
